The contrast between nature, with the magnificent old big tree, and man-made, the telegraph pole, play wonderfully against that beautiful sky! Somehow very peaceful image.
The way of fortune is like the milkyway in the sky.... Wonderful capture for skywatch! Mine's up too hope you can drop by, asking for your vote too... thanks a lot! Happy weekend!
Lovely sunset, especially when enlarged. the silhouetted tree takes on a new dimension as do the powerlines which oddly enough enhance rather than detract form the whole.
"You know that point in your life when you realize the house you grew up in isn't really your home anymore? All of a sudden, even though you have someplace where you put your shit, that idea of home is gone. [...] You'll see one day when you move out. It just sorta happens one day and it's gone. You feel like you can never get it back. It's like you feel homesick for a place that doesn't even exist. But maybe it's like this rite of passage, you know? You won't ever have that feeling again until you create a new idea of home for yourself, you know for, for your kids, for the family you start; it's like a cycle or something." - Andrew Largeman, Garden State

I love this! There is a quality of light in winter that is like no other. This exactly captures it.

Refreshing to see cold winter skies with little light for a change.
